Fantastic musicians, stupid lyrics

When good bands go bad:
1.) The Beatles with "Why don't we do it in the road?"
sample:
"Why don't we do it in the road
Why don't we do it in the road
Why don't we do it in the road
Why don't we do it in the road
No one will be watching us"
Uh ... ok. I'm fairly certain that your biggest worry would not be whether someone would be watching you, but whether anyone has ever survived quadruple Firestone/testicle contact. Not to mention, why WOULD you want to "do it in the road'"? I mean, I've heard of some crazy, kinky stuff. I've had friends tell me about public restrooms, elevators, 747s. Hell, I even had one friend wax poetic about the time she and her husband decided to get busy on a double decker bus as it rolled down a busy London street. But NEVER have I heard someone say "You know what really turns me on ... gettin naked in the middle of I-45 southbound during rush hour"
Nirvana with "Polly"
sample:
"Polly wants a cracker
I think I should get off her first
I think she wants some water
To put out the blow torch"

You THINK you should get off her first? Yeah, Polly might be dead. Might want more than water. Polly might want to be medivac'd to the nearest animal hospital pronto...

Led Zeppelin with Ramble On
sample:
"Mine's a tale that can't be told, my freedom I hold dear.
How years ago in days of old, when magic filled the air.
T'was in the darkest depths of Mordor, I met a girl so fair.
But Gollum, and the evil one crept up and slipped away with her, her, her....yeah."
That story HAS been told. It was called Lord of the Rings.
Stone Temple Pilots with Meatplow
sample: "take a break from the mousetrap we call home"
Ok I get it...small, confined ...
"takes more than a message to make me smile"
Yeah, you're deep man ...

"I can feel when she kisses me sleeping"
Umm ... ok ... that's nice ..
"but not when the news is on."
...
WTF?

Earth Wind and Fire with Burnin' Bush
sample:
"There's gonna come a time,
Things that are on your mind.
Trust and you will find
Everything in your mind
True love is here to find
Simple as number 9
Multiply you will find
Peace and love all the time."
My head though it might shine
I gotta find a rhyme
Hey mister ... can you spare a dime?"
Crap like this should be a crime
